Excel Reports - Opening and Saving

All reports that have EXCEL in their name (e.g. Patient Status Report EXCEL) need to opened or saved before you can use the Excel functionality to mine the data.

To open or save a report in Excel format you will need to click drop down arrow next to the Document icon icon on the document toolbar. When the menu comes up select either 'Save to my computer as' and then select 'Excel'. You can also save the file to your computer as a comma delimited file by selecting 'CSV'.

Mouse Icon If the returned Excel file exceeds the number of rows allowed by Microsoft the data will roll over to a new sheet (tab). When this happens you will not be able to use all of the built-in Excel functionality (e.g. filtering). To get around this limitation, apply additional data filters (e.g. Country, site, etc.) and run the report again or save the report in CSV format and open it in the most recent version of Excel.
